Grip the paddle: Raise the paddle above your head with both hands at a 90-degree angle and the distance between your hands is the optimal pitch. The paddle blades should be perpendicular to the water surface and the paddle handle should be parallel to the water surface.

Paddling: The width of the paddle is about shoulder width and the right side is paddled first. When the hand oar is down, the upper body naturally turns to the right, and the left arm is about shoulder height, reaching over the hull to the right. When the right oar surfaces backwards, the body naturally turns to the left, then the left hand paddle paddles into the water, and the right hand moves over the hull to the left, using the foot pedal to increase the power. When returning to the paddle, the height of the blades should not exceed the height of the shoulders.

Turning: There are two methods, one is to sweep the paddle, that is, to make an arc-shaped paddling action on the side you want to turn, from front to back or back to front; The other is rudder, that is, making a stroke in the opposite direction on the side you want to turn, from back to front or front to back.

Balance: Keep your knees slightly bent and your body relaxed when standing, with your center of gravity in the center of your feet. Use your waist and core muscles to control balance, not your arms or legs. If you feel like you're going to fall down, you can use the paddle to support yourself in the water.
